The Indianola Community Foundation (ICF) was originally established in 1995 as the Indianola Community Parks & Recreation Foundation. In 2002, the Board expanded the mission of the Foundation to encourage additional community betterment activities.

The ICF is a private, tax-exempt charitable fund dedicated to making life better in Indianola. Our purpose is to provide a viable entity by which donors may make a lasting contribution to our community. We also collaborate with citizen committees to accomplish specific community betterment projects and help organizations avoid spending valuable resources on administrative tasks so they can focus on accomplishing their goals.

The Foundation is governed by a local board of directors abiding by the wishes of donors. We have established endowments to benefit parks, recreation opportunities, and other community improvements. We also provide grants to specific projects using both income earned from endowments and from expendable donations.
